β„™π•†π•Ž! π•Žβ„π”Έπ•„! π‚πŽπŒπˆπ‚π’ – Wacky Edition (June 8th)

Here we are again with another thrilling episode of Pow! Wham! Comics! – Wacky Edition.

Now I know things got a bit intense with my seething fury for the Bendis speak but thankfully, there’s only lack luster tie-ins this week that range from meh to that’s ok.

Meanwhile over at DC, they’re just handing out the fan apologizes like mad to the point where even the characters are starting to question what the hell was the point of Nu52 as Wonder Woman seeks to find the truth, the Flash remembers that time that Batman cried cause he got a letter from his dead parent and Aquaman is still moist.

I know what you’re thinking, what comics that came out that aren’t just capes? Well, there’s plenty as Prometheus kicks off with some crushing results, Birthright is back from hiatus, and the blood bath of epic proportions comes to a end as Grizzly Shark clashes with Sea Bear in glorious blood drenched colour to see who is the deadliest!

Other mysteries such as if I will actually be able to pronounce Geoff Johns properly, why does geek culture seem a bit stale lately and the pick of the week will all be revealed.

Watch Dogs 2 Trailer

It’s been a while since I’ve been excited for a game from it’s trailer and I’m excited again. Check out the new Watch Dogs 2 trailer. We leave Chicago for San Francisco and enter deeper into the heart of DedSec with a new character named Marcus Holloway. I REALLY enjoyed Watch Dogs video game, I thought it was smart, cunning and enjoyable despite all the repetitive parts like unlocking towers and such. I fell in a gamer crush on their Girl w a Hacker Tattoo from Watch Dogs – she was great to listen to while playing the game. I think Ubisoft may have set the realistic gaming bar even higher when you look at the city scenes & people. Some shots look like they were live action scenes. Here’s hoping that Aiden Pearce shows up. πŸ™‚

Watch Dogs 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4 on November 15th.

β„™π•†π•Ž! π•Žβ„π”Έπ•„! π‚πŽπŒπˆπ‚π’ – King of Hell Edition (June 1st)

This week on Pow! Wham! Comics! starts it off with Civil War number 1 for Marvel and there’s plenty of to say about it. Not to be left out of my nerd rage rant, Rebirth delivers an interesting starting point for Batman and Green Lanterns but can they make me give a damn about Green Arrow again?

Survivors Club gets wrapped up, Hellboy bids us farewell, Rai is still fighting a giant dragon future city thing, Pink Power Ranger gets her own spotlight in pink and my pick of the week which promises to DESTROY EVERYTHING!

For the listeners at home, I must warn you what you’re about to listen may shock your senses as I unleash the fury as nothing can prepare you for Pow! Wham! Comics! – King of Hell Edition.

Civil War II Issue #1 – Robert’s Review

Marvel Comics Civil War II Issue #1 hits the ground running and has just enough time to breath before it picks up again in critical condition for it’s big shock & awe moments to fraction allegiance of the heroes in the Marvel Universe. I am thoroughly impressed with this book, it was a visually stunning page turner issue where I almost wanted more but was satisfied with how well the pacing works. I know I’ve preached otherwise believing that before the release that this was all a massive marketing stun to tie into Captain America: Civil War and as a counter to DC Comics Rebirth event. Although that’s very likely true, this issue worked for me and let me tell you why.

The Joker near perfect

Sadly this is just an extended version of a 2013 Snickers commercial that ran in the Middle East but it’s version of The Joker is amazing. A stunning mix of Cesar Romero and the artistic visions from Marshall Rogers, Jim Aparo and even some Neal Adams. To me, THIS is The Clown Prince of Crime not those jokes we’ve seen in the Batman movies. All of them.
