This looks like a dirty, grim, dark and yet VERY appealing new show on coming to FX starring Tom Hardy (Fnck YEAH), Ridley Scott & Steven Knight. Also starring Jonathan Pryce who’s an amazing actor in his own right.
Set in 1814, it concerns Hardy’s character, an adventurer who returns from Africa laden with diamonds, and his attempts to strike out for himself in the shipping game between Britain and America.
I love the savageness in the shots with Hardy’s character in Africa. Gives the show that visceral edge.
