Kudos to the entire creative team (writer G. Willow Wilson, artist by Adrian Alphona & editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker) on Ms. Marvel comic book for winning the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity, held at Long Beach Comic Expo this past weekend!
Ms. Marvel is Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City who quickly becomes a fresh new face to the super heroes in the Marvel Comics universe due to exposure from the dreaded Inhumans “Terrigen Mists”.
