THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR Official Trailer 2

THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR stars Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Grey) alongside Elizabeth Mitchell, Edwin Hodge, Betty Gabriel, JJ Soria and Mykelti Williamson and it’s a sequel to The Purge: Anarchy (which was a pretty good movie). Looking forward to this follow-up.

Fallout 4 DLC – A closer look into Far Habor

On May 19th, the final DLC will be available for Fallout 4. Expanding on the scope of context compared to previous dlc such as Automatron or Wasteland Workshop, this DLC promises a new area that has been rumoured to be larger in land mass than the Shivering Isles for Oblivion from Betheseda’s other series, Elder Scrolls.

In this DLC, you’ll explore the ruins of Maine and encounter new mutated creatures set in a swamp like environment that draws you in to resolve a situation between three fractions – a Synth colony, the local fishing village and the Children of Atom cult. New weapons such as the harpoon gun and a new power armor designed specifically for this new part of the wasteland should help out.

Here’s a closer look into what lies ahead when you head out to explore Far Harbor

DC Comics Releases Official Statement on Sexual Harassment Allegations

DC Comics finally released an official statement on all the Sexual Harassment Allegations that arose via social media. After having a read, it’s a pretty formal release statement that doesn’t give a shred of hope that DC Comics actually means to do anything. There are no consequences for the allegations that have been brought forward. At least nothing formally announced. Does this help with transparency? Good question, let’s have a look at the statement…

In tribute to Darwyn Cooke

At the time of this being posted, another legend in the world of comics has passed on.

Darwyn Cooke, best known for his work with DC comics for being the artist behind such titles as New Frontier and some guest runs on Jonah Hex and Catwoman. His first title for DC had him working alongside Ed Brubaker in a one shot called Batman Ego.

His style invokes the golden age of comics. The character designs have a familiar sense of something similar to Johnny Quest or a pulp hero like Flash Gordon. In contrast to the bright tones, his take on Jonah Hex manages to be rugged but with subtle kind of charm.

His style is pretty recognizable, it has that unique feel of being something so familiar but in the back of your mind, you wonder what other characters would look like when he inks them up. In fact, you might already be familiar with his work but for those unaware, here’s my thoughts as I get into some of the stuff that Darwyn Cooke is responsible for creating.

Assassin’s Creed Official Trailer

Did you like ANY of the Assassin’s Creed video games? If so, this movie may appeal to you – if not then think it’s Michael Fassbender, Magento from the X-Men revamp movies, running around and doing all the hi-light poses & action scenes from a popular video game all put together into a 90 min (or more) movie. I wasn’t a fan of any of the Assassin’s Creed games, they ALWAYS fell into this point of repeat mission / actions that bored the crap outta me. I’m not expecting much from this movie so I hope I am entertained.

Not really feeling it? Well, maybe this help

β„™π•†π•Ž! π•Žβ„π”Έπ•„! πŸ…²πŸ…ΎπŸ…ΌπŸ…ΈπŸ…²πŸ†‚ – Week 2 for May 2016

You know, I can’t let Robert have all the funny of reviewing stacks upon stacks of monthly adventures involving capes, whatever the hell is trendy enough to warrant being an Image book, Image Jr aka Boom, licensed property from your childhood aka IDW and whatever tickles my fancy. Considering just this past weekend was free comic book day and all of us here market this place as a comic book site, why not some reviews?

Here’s some ground rules before I get into the picks.

Considering that I’ll actually read some series from start to finish – I won’t bore anyone with constantly gushing over my man crush on the fantastic writing skills of Tom King or how Tristan Jones makes your nightmares come to life with some heavy ink in Aliens Defiance (GO BUY THE FIRST ISSUE, SECOND COMES OUT NEXT WEEK I THINK), I’d rather point out the highlights of those or stick to the freshness, the hot fresh of a debut title but it’s a bit rare.

Still reading? Well, there’s more after the jump.
